Malthouse Theatre collaborate with local and international artists to create inventive performances that cut to the core of the human experience. With the engagement of a new Artistic Director in 2017, Hours After were enlisted to refresh the brand identity. The brand needed to reflect a theatre that interrogates, disrupts and is an agent of change.

We shifted the tone of voice, highlighted the M as a brand icon, stripped the brand palette back to black and white, with a focus on bold typography. This allows Malthouse Theatre to stand out across it’s growing digital platforms, the Art Direction of each season to take on it’s own look, and give each production it’s own voice.
