A youth-driven, First Nations arts intervention disrupted Melbourne’s Hamer Hall for an afternoon of immersive installation and live performance. The emerging artists responded to the stories of the land on which the hall rests — the Birrarung and its waterways.

The brief was to create a brand that was true to the subject, while being fresh and referential to the young creatives and performers.

We created a design that uses a natural, earthly palette derived from the spaces within and surrounding Hamer Hall. This has been paired with fluid topographic shapes that reference the venue’s surrounding landscape.
