+Concepts is an art and creative practice lecture series that began in 2016. Well known in the arts sector, the lectures are hosted in collaboration with art organisations across the country. Originally named ‘Writing & Concepts’, the brief was to create a new identity that better reflected their presenters and partners’ broad and varied interests. The new brand needed to champion the artists and present itself as a professional resource for a growing audience of creatives.

The solution is a brand that has the flexibility to support a growing list of creative practices. The relevant discipline of the lecture is added to the core brand ‘+Concepts’, creating a brand that can be relevant to any artist’s practice. The brand places equal weight on +Concepts, as the artist and venue — highlighting the collaboration and allowing the artist imagery to hero. The colour palette is neutral grey and black, injected with colour for each new season, continually renewing its design to appeal to contemporary audiences.
